Face Shapes and Earring Styles

Earrings are a wonderful way to perk up your face and make you look classy and fabulous!

Be careful not to make the mistake of wearing earrings that are “in style” yet don’t really suit you or your unique personality.

There are many things to consider when choosing the right pair including your face shape. Check out these helpful tips below:

Oval Face: If your face is this shape, count your blessings! With an oval shape you can choose virtually any style earrings.

Oblong~Narrow Face: Pearl studs are ideal for narrow faces as they add softness and minimize length. Clustered pearl earrings that dangle far below the earlobe are a particularly good choice. Keep in mind that long dangle earrings tend to minimize the length of very narrow faces. When choosing dangle earrings, look for pieces with elongated curves that will accentuate the cheekbones and add softness.

Round Face: Long, slender earrings are a great choice for the round face as they help to elongate the look of the face. Triangle~Diamond Face: Short earrings are the most flattering for this facial type. Long dangling earrings tend to make the face look even longer.

Heart Face: For the heart face we recommend triangular chandelier earrings. The wide base of the triangle earring provides an excellent contrast to the narrower chin

Square Face: Round earrings or hoop earrings look fabulous on those with a square face.

These are just some general guidelines for choosing earrings that may compliment your unique face shape. There are no steadfast rules however, as your choice of earrings should suit your own unique personality and style regardless of the shape of your beautiful face.
